Daniel Puts Best Foot Forward for ASCERT

On Saturday 9th June, Daniel Drysdale, from Millisle, will be putting his best foot forward as he completes one of Ireland’s premier off road running events; the 2018 Mourne Way Challenge.

Aged just 22, Daniel is competing the 10k challenge to raise vital funds for ASCERT, Northern Ireland’s leading specialist drug and alcohol support services charity.

Speaking ahead of his 10k run, Daniel said: “I am really looking forward to taking part in this 10k run and to be fundraising for such a worthy cause. I want to thank everyone who has supported my fundraising so far and I know that ASCERT will put the money to good use addressing drug and alcohol issues”.

ASCERT’s Fundraising Coordinator, Jenay Doyle, thanked Daniel for his support: “We are delighted that Daniel has chosen to support our charity and wish him all the best as he takes on this amazing challenge. As a charity we are so appreciative of all the support we receive from the local community which helps us to continue addressing drug and alcohol issues and supporting positive and sustainable change across Northern Ireland. We would once again like to thank Daniel for his support; we will be cheering him all the way!”.
