ASCERT is Asking for Nominations to Win £1,000 Movement for Good Award

ASCERT is encouraging people to nominate them to be in for a chance to win £1,000 as part of specialist insurer Ecclesiastical’s Movement for Good awards.

It’s quick and easy to nominate ASCERT online. Nominations are open from Tuesday 23 April to Friday 17 May and you can vote for ASCERT at: www.ecclesiastical.com/movementforgood. Winners will be drawn at random and the more times ASCERT is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.

ASCERT  is encouraging everyone to use their social media channels to ask people to vote for them to give the charity the best possible chance of winning.

Jenay Doyle, Fundraising Coordinator said: “Approximately 10,000 people avail of ASCERT services each year and while services are free to those that use them they are not free to provide. ASCERT relies on its funders and supporters to provide its vital local services to those who need them most."

A £1000 Movement for Good award could be used to:

·         Improve Community Safety.

·         Decrease Drug and Alcohol Misuse.

·         Decrease Anti-Social Behaviour.

·         Raise Awareness of Drug and Alcohol Issues in Community.

·         Raise Awareness of Services and Sources of Support.

Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive at Ecclesiastical, said: “Trusted by our customers for over 130 years, we are proud to protect the irreplaceable – charities, schools, churches, homes and communities - right across the UK and abroad.  As a company whose purpose is to contribute to the greater good of society, charitable giving is at the heart of our business. Our Movement for Good awards will help charities change lives for the better and we know that for many charities, £1,000 can make a real difference.”
