Strengthening Families Site Support Worker (SF-SW-12/18)

Responsible To: Service Manager

Location: Primarily Belfast and from regional offices across Northern Ireland when required

Length of Post: March 2020 with possible extension

Hours: 35 hours

Salary: £18,870 + 4% pension

As a site support worker within ASCERT’s Services you will be part of the Strengthening Families Service (within Prevention Services) whose aim is to reduce the impact of substance use on individuals, families and the community through the delivery of our evidence based Strengthening Families programme.

The Support Worker will be responsible for onsite programme support which will include the managing of disclosures, providing support and onward referrals and regular updates for referral agencies. The Support Worker will provide life skills facilitation as and when needed and will be required to be on site for the full 14 weeks per programme for all SF programmes that run during the contract period.

The Support worker will provide effective and efficient programme support to the SF co-ordinator and will develop and maintain appropriate administrative systems while also providing the first point of contact for service referrals to the SF programme.

Strengthening Families is provided with the Belfast & Southern Trust area and has strong partnerships with other services delivering treatment; training and community services to people that need support in this area.
